Volleyball Recap: Garaway's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Garaway came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Indian Valley Braves. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Indian Valley scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-17, 25-20.

Audrey Miller paced Garaway's offense, picking up 18 kills. Miller got some help from Charlee Yoder and her 30 assists. Janice Beachy controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Gionna Miles had a dynamite game For Indian Valley., getting 19 digs and one assist.

Garaway's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-5. As for Indian Valley, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-4.

Garaway has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Coshocton on the 13th. As for Indian Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Sandy Valley on the 16th.
