Preview: American Heritage vs. American Heritage
The American Heritage Patriots will be playing at home against the American Heritage Stallions at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Thursday, American Heritage ended up a good deal behind NSU University and lost 66-47. While losing is never fun, American Heritage can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 422nd, while NSU University is ranked 91st).
Meanwhile, American Heritage's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell to Jupiter 49-43.
Despite the defeat, American Heritage saw an underclassman step up: Zack Burrow scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Brendan Gerard, who scored nine points.
American Heritage has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for American Heritage, they bumped their record down to 10-5 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
