Basketball Game Preview: Many Farms Lobos vs. Round Valley Elks

Many Farms is 1-9 against Round Valley since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Many Farms Lobos are taking a road trip to challenge the Round Valley Elks at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Many Farms didn't have too much trouble with Pinon as they won 54-36.

Meanwhile, Round Valley waltzed into their contest on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They snuck past the Yellow Jackets with a 39-34 victory.

Round Valley's win came from a few key players Many Farms will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kelci Walker, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards. The game was her eighth in a row with at least ten points. Carla Arreola was another key player, putting up 15 points and six rebounds.

Round Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 24 consecutive matchups.

Round Valley pushed their record up to 15-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Many Farms, their record is now 16-7.

Many Farms ended up a good deal behind Round Valley in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, losing 52-37. Can Many Farms avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
