Basketball Recap: Streamwood Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Streamwood and Rolling Meadows squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Streamwood had to settle for second. They lost 59-33 to the Rolling Meadows Mustangs. The Sabres have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Streamwood lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Angelina Sagadraca, who went 7-for-14 on her way to 17 points. Those 17 points gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brianna Coffey, who posted five points along with 13 boards and three steals.

Streamwood's loss dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Rolling Meadows, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.

Streamwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rolling Meadows, they have already played their next game, a 47-39 win against Stevenson on the 20th.
