Basketball Game Preview: Mather Rangers vs. Steinmetz College Prep Silver Streaks

The Mather Rangers will challenge the Steinmetz College Prep Silver Streaks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mather is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.6 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Mather beat North Grand 67-60.

Adin Smajlovic and Jeremiah Chalwe were among the main playmakers for Mather as the former posted 32 points and the latter earned 17 points. Another player making a difference was Byron Purnell, who put up six points.

Meanwhile, Steinmetz College Prep lost to Amundsen on the road by a 65-49 margin on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Silver Streaks in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost five in a row.

Mather's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7. As for Steinmetz College Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
