Newman had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Patterson Lumberjacks by a score of 53-41. Winning may never get old, but the Greenies sure are getting used to it with their 13th in a row dating back to last season.

Livingston Jr went 10 for 23 en route to 23 points plus six rebounds and two steals, while Foster almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Foster a new career-high in offensive rebounds (six). Another player making a difference was Sachin Dasa, who scored three points in addition to three steals.

Newman will look to take advantage of their home-court for the first time this season as they take on Eleanor McMain at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Patterson, they will venture away from home to take on Morgan City at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
