Softball Recap: Shakopee Takes a Loss

Shakopee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lakeville South Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-6 back in April.

Shakopee's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Lakeville South, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season.

Shakopee has already played their next game (against Farmington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lakeville South, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-6 loss against Prior Lake on the 15th.
