Basketball Recap: Four Straight Road Wins for Cony

Cony won the last time they faced Brewer and things went their way on Monday too. The Cony Rams came out on top against the Brewer Witches by a score of 53-41. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Witches are ranked 64th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cony's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Brewer, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cony will welcome Mt. Ararat at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Ararat will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Cony surely won't give up without a fight. As for Brewer, they will be playing at home against Mt. Blue at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brewer is facing Mt. Blue at the right time seeing as Mt. Blue is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
