Beloit is 10-0 against Republic County since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Beloit Trojans will face off against the Republic County Buffaloes at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Beloit and four for Republic County.

Last Tuesday, Beloit was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-40 to Sacred Heart.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Addison Budke, who posted eight points in addition to 15 rebounds and four blocks. Another player making a difference was Reagan Cheney, who scored eight points and nine boards.

Even though they lost, Beloit smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 13 consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Republic County was beaten by Valley Heights 71-27 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Buffaloes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while the Mustangs are ranked 61st).

Beloit's record is now 7-6. As for Republic County, their record now sits at 3-11.

Everything went Beloit's way against Republic County when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as Beloit made off with a 50-29 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Beloit since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
