Cleveland gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Venice Gondoliers 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cavaliers have posted since September 14, 2024.

Cleveland was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (103-101), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-17, 19-25, 17-25, 15-13.

Looking ahead, Cleveland will be playing at home against Burroughs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Cavaliers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Venice, they will face off against Wiseburn- Da Vinci at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
