Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Franklin

Franklin made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Cleveland, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Quakers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Eagles an 11-0 shutout on Monday. For the Quakers, this counts as revenge for the 8-2 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

The win was the fourth in a row for Franklin, bringing their record up to 4-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Cleveland, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will challenge Lincoln at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
