Basketball Game Preview: Poca The Dots vs. Point Pleasant Big Blacks

The Poca The Dots will square off against the Point Pleasant Big Blacks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Poca is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Poca was beaten by Scott 77-38.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 73-26, which was the final score in Point Pleasant's tilt against Warren on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Big Blacks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 500th in West Virginia, while the Warriors are ranked 51st in Ohio).

Poca's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Point Pleasant, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Poca was dealt a bruising 64-35 defeat at the hands of Point Pleasant when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Poca avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
