Softball Game Preview: Spring Hill Bears vs. Ouachita Warriors

The Spring Hill Bears are taking a road trip to challenge the Ouachita Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Spring Hill has given up an average of 10.1 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Spring Hill came up short against Caddo Hills on Tuesday, falling 16-6. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ouachita). They blew past Fordyce 26-0 on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Haley Eudy was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, eight RBI, and three runs. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Mylee Crow was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Ouachita always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .775. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Ouachita's record is now 7-12. As for Spring Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

Spring Hill was able to grind out a solid victory over Ouachita in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, winning 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
