Girard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Conneaut Area Eagles. The Yellowjackets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 12-9.

Danielle Suscheck spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and six unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up nine Ks.
