Softball Recap: Michigan Lutheran Extends Winning Streak to Three

Michigan Lutheran entered their tilt with Eau Claire on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Beavers with a sharp 11-1 win. The Titans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Beavers, too.

Addy Wetzel was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Amelia Elder, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.

Michigan Lutheran lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Michigan Lutheran's record now sits at 3-1. As for Eau Claire, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Michigan Lutheran beat the Beavers by a score of 11-1 later that day.
