Slidell is 7-0-1 against Hammond since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Tigers will head out to square off against the Tornadoes at 5:30 p.m. Slidell has given up an average of 3.3 goals per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Slidell fell victim to Mandeville and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 8-0 to the Skippers. While losing is never fun, Slidell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Mandeville are ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hammond, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over De La Salle on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for Hammond in their matchups with De La Salle: they've now won three in a row.

Hammond's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Slidell, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-1.

Everything went Slidell's way against Hammond when the teams last played back in January of 2025, as Slidell made off with a 4-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
