Alexander Central has gone a perfect 10-0 against Freedom recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Cougars will head out to challenge the Patriots at 6:30 p.m. Alexander Central is coming into the match hot, having won their last 18 games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Alexander Central took on Hibriten on Tuesday. The Cougars blew past the Panthers 9-0. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Freedom came into Tuesday's contest having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 14-11 win over Watauga on Tuesday.

Cassidy Taylor was incredible, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Englani Campbell was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-5.

Taylor wasn't the only one making solid contact: Freedom kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Alexander Central's victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Freedom, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 6-14.

Alexander Central took their win against Freedom in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 16-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
