Volleyball Game Preview: Howland Tigers vs. Louisville Leopards

The Howland Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Louisville Leopards at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Louisville took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Howland, who comes in off a win.

Howland took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Archbishop Hoban. The win was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

While Howland might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Archbishop Hoban scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 23-25, 25-18, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Louisville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Walsh Jesuit, falling 3-0.

Louisville's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Howland, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Howland skirted past Louisville 3-2 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
