Recap: Shafter Generals vs. Taft Wildcats
The Shafter Generals suffered their biggest loss since December 23, 2023 on Wednesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 53-29 walloping at the hands of Taft. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Shafter has scored all season.
Blaine Neudorf continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Taft, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 17 rebounds. Neudorf hasn't dropped below 15points for 12 straight games. Another player making a difference was Ernie Laulu, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
Shafter has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Taft, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-9.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing McFarland the next time they take the court. Shafter will head out to face McFarland at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Taft will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
