Basketball Game Preview: Dimmitt Bobcats vs. Roosevelt Eagles

The Dimmitt Bobcats will head out on the road to square off against the Roosevelt Eagles at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams were dealt some close losses in their previous games and are determined not to let this one get away.

Dimmitt's tournament run continued when they took on Klondike on Thursday. Dimmitt fell just short of Klondike by a score of 47-45.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-42 heartbreaker at the hands of Ballinger.

Dimmitt has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Roosevelt, they now have a losing record at 11-12.

Dimmitt took a serious blow against Roosevelt when the teams last played back in January of 2018, falling 72-3. Can Dimmitt avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
