Oconto Falls was the 1-0 winner over Waupaca when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell just short of the Comets by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Oconto Falls saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Teagan Tate, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that Tate has hit this season.

Oconto Falls' loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Waupaca, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Coming up, Oconto Falls will challenge Kingsford at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Fliwers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.83 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Waupaca, they will face off against Marinette at 11:00 a.m. on May 2.
