Basketball Game Preview: Fountain Hills Falcons vs. Odyssey Institute Minotaur

Having just played yesterday, the Fountain Hills Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Odyssey Institute Minotaur at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Fountain Hills will head out to face Odyssey Institute after giving up their first home loss of the season on Monday. Fountain Hills took a 56-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Miami. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Vandals 17-12 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Odyssey Institute was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. 2025 welcomed they with a 34-12 loss courtesy of St. Augustine Catholic.

Fountain Hills' loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-5. As for Odyssey Institute, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Fountain Hills came up short against Odyssey Institute in their previous meeting back in December of 2019, falling 38-32. Thankfully for Fountain Hills, Nicole Castellanos (who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
