Basketball Recap: Central of Coosa County Gets the Win

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Central of Coosa County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They managed a 74-69 victory over the Horseshoe Bend Generals. The win almost wasn't to be: the Cougars were down 48-33 in the third quarter.

Kaleb Ballard continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted three or more in the last four games he's played. Lacorrian Thompson was another key player, putting up 20 points.

Central of Coosa County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Central of Coosa County's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Horseshoe Bend, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
