After a string of five wins, Langston Hughes's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dutchtown Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2017.

Their offense was headlined by Mya Leathers and Kaylen Dowell, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Chamarie Lisbon and her six assists. Dowell was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Langston Hughes' defeat dropped their record down to 9-20. As for Dutchtown, they moved to 16-18 with that win, which also ended their eight-match losing streak.

Langston Hughes didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Northgate on the 30th. As for Dutchtown, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Newnan on the 30th.
