Football Recap: Proviso West Takes a Loss

Proviso West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 50-8 loss at the hands of the Willowbrook Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 35-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2016.

Proviso West's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Willowbrook, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Proviso West will welcome Hinsdale Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Willowbrook, they are taking a road trip to face off against Proviso East at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will be up against the Pirates' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.86 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
