Basketball Recap: Coralee Grove's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Dickson County over Mcewen

Dickson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 57-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McEwen Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 57-53 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.

Dickson County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Coralee Grove, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. Lily Christian was another key player, as she made all 7 shots she took racking up 14 points.

Dickson County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for McEwen, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Dickson County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 47-46 victory against Rossview on the 10th. As for McEwen, they will welcome South Fulton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
