Football Game Preview: Cabrini Monarchs vs. Bishop Foley Ventures + How To Watch

The Cabrini Monarchs will head out on the road to face off against the Bishop Foley Ventures at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cabrini has five straight victories, Bishop Foley has 13 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Cabrini and Shrine Catholic meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Monarchs pulled ahead with a 27-26 photo finish over the Knights.

A big part of Cabrini's win came down to the chemistry between Evan Bergdoll and his top target Lander Emerick. Bergdoll threw for 226 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes while Emerick picked up 129 receiving yards and three TDs. Those three receiving touchdowns gave Emerick a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Bishop Foley's offense. They took a blow against Everest Collegiate on Friday, falling 33-0.

Bishop Foley's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Cabrini, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Cabrini strolled past Bishop Foley in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 28-14. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Monarchs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
