Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Our Lady Academy walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Union Yellowjackets on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Crescents sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

While Our Lady Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-22, 25-21.

Myah Favre paced Our Lady Academy's offense, picking up 28 kills. Favre got some help from Taylor Henley and her 34 assists. Finally, Favre was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Our Lady Academy's victory bumped their record up to 40-4. As for Union, their defeat ended a ten-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 30-12.

Looking ahead, Our Lady Academy will face off against Alcorn Central at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
