Softball Recap: Paint Valley Bearcats vs. Unioto Shermans
Paint Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 14-4 to the Unioto Shermans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Shermans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-9 on April 7th.
Paint Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Delainey Mannion, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. Kyla Littler was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Paint Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Unioto, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-8.
Looking ahead, Paint Valley will host Westfall at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Unioto, they will venture away from home to take on Piketon at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The Redstreaks will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Shermans surely won't give up without a fight.
