Volleyball Recap: Jennings County Starts off Right with Win over Lawrenceburg

Jennings County had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Lawrenceburg Tigers 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Jennings County was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-11, 25-13.

Sydney Kegley paced Jennings County's offense, picking up nine kills. Kegley got some help from Addison Martin and her 25 assists. Lydia Martin controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

After both having extra time off, Jennings County and New Albany will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. The matchup will give the Panthers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Lawrenceburg, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Connersville on the 19th.
