Basketball Recap: East Haven Wins Going Away Against Amistad

On Saturday, the East Haven Yellowjackets didn't have too much trouble with the Amistad Wolves as they won 80-65. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Yellowjackets.

Amistad's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Takki Oliver, who posted 15 points. Oliver is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brandon Bright Jr, who had nine points.

East Haven's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Amistad, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Haven will host Guilford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Haven knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Guilford likes a good challenge. Amistad has already played their next game (against Bassick), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
