Softball Recap: Paris Tigers vs. Marshall Lions

Paris had lost three straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 7-11 to make it four. They came up short against the Marshall Lions, falling 12-3. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lions from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Lynn Welborn was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four stolen bases, and three runs. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was McKenzie Davis, who went 1-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Paris wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-1 loss against Tolono Unity on the 18th. As for Marshall, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-7 defeat against Newton on the 21st.
