Soccer Game Preview: Downtown Doral vs. Divine Savior Academy

The Downtown Doral Dolphins will head out to challenge the Divine Savior Academy Sharks at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Downtown Doral is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.7 goals per game this season.

Downtown Doral is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Florida Christian just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw. The result kept the Dolphins happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 17, 2024.

Meanwhile, Divine Savior Academy came up short against Miami Country Day on Monday and fell 4-2.

Valentina Santa Maria and Anna D'Agostini scored both of Divine Savior Academy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Divine Savior Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. With that draw, Downtown Doral's record moves to 9-6-2.

Downtown Doral might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Divine Savior Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Downtown Doral avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
