Basketball Recap: McGavock Comes Up Short

McGavock lost against Cane Ridge two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The McGavock Raiders had to suffer through a 78-45 loss at the hands of the Cane Ridge Ravens. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-14.

It was another big night for Avyion McCleton, who posted 13 points and six assists for Cane Ridge. Another player making a difference was Ja'Zariyan Wall, who scored eight points.

This is the second loss in a row for McGavock and nudges their season record down to 3-15. As for Cane Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.

Coming up, McGavock will be playing in front of their home fans against Hillsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hillsboro will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something McGavock surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cane Ridge, they will venture away from home to challenge Hunters Lane at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cane Ridge is facing Hunters Lane at the right time seeing as Hunters Lane is stuck on a 15-game losing streak.
