Basketball Recap: Widefield Gladiators vs. Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks
Widefield was the 68-56 winner over Cheyenne Mountain when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Widefield Gladiators fell 55-48 to the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks on Monday. Despite the defeat, Widefield had strong showings from Trevin Stemler, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards, and Amari Taylor, who went 7-for-12 to rack up 15 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. Stemler is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last five games he's played. Tate Washington was another key player, putting up nine points.
