Softball Recap: Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Centerville

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy). Everything went their way against the Centerville Tornadoes on Saturday as they made off with a 17-2 victory. Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 20, 2024 (when they won 21-5).

The win made it two in a row for Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Centerville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy will square off against Wagner at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Centerville, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Gayville-Volin on May 9.
