Camelback came into Thursday's match having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They escaped with a win on Thursday against the Arcadia Titans by the margin of a single free throw, 37-36. The Spartans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Camelback was led to victory by Kyliana Massey and Deja Francisco. Massey posted 16 points and seven steals, while Francisco had eight points and 14 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Massey has scored at least a third of Camelback's points.

Camelback's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Arcadia, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Camelback will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cibola at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Arcadia, they will be playing at home against Estrella Foothills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
