Basketball Recap: IC Catholic Prep Takes a Loss

IC Catholic Prep lost to St. Francis back in December of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Knights fell 58-48 to the Spartans. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Courtny Bridgeforth continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for St. Francis, shooting 57% from the field en route to 21 points along with seven boards and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Bridgeforth has scored at least a third of the Spartans' points. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Freeman, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 15 points.

IC Catholic Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for St. Francis, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-15.

Looking ahead, IC Catholic Prep will head out to face off against St. Edward at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Francis, they will challenge Fenwick on Thursday.
