Baseball Recap: New Castle Takes a Loss

New Castle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 13-4 to the Fox Chapel Foxes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Foxes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-1 on Monday.

New Castle saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paul Malley, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that Malley hit this season.

New Castle's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Fox Chapel, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

New Castle wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against Laurel on the 12th. As for Fox Chapel, they will head out on the road to challenge Mars at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
