Football Game Preview: Berkeley Prep Buccaneers vs. Plant Panthers + How To Watch

The Berkeley Prep Buccaneers will head out on the road to face off against the Plant Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Berkeley Prep and Tampa Catholic had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Buccaneers walked away with a 19-7 victory over the Crusaders on Friday. The Buccaneers haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Luby Jones Jr was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns. Berkeley Prep also got a significant boost from Matt White, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 89 yards.

Berkeley Prep didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Tampa Catholic to a completion percentage of just 47.4%. The team can thank Ben Linsky for the heroic effort on defense: he. They're winless (0-3) when they limit the passing game like that.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Plant took on Wharton on Friday. The Panthers strolled past the Wildcats with points to spare, taking the game 28-12. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Berkeley Prep's record now sits at 2-4. As for Plant, their record is now 3-4.
