De La Salle is a perfect 10-0 against California since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Spartans will host the Grizzlies at 7:15 p.m. De La Salle is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

If De La Salle beats California with 56 points on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Spartans claimed a resounding 56-7 win over San Ramon Valley. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Brady Smith had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 120 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Knight, who threw for 131 yards and three TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: De La Salle was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 369 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 33 points the game before, California was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They came up short against Monte Vista, falling 34-13. The game marked the Grizzlies' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

De La Salle will have to contain Banerjee Arjun as he made an impact in California's last game. He rushed for 55 yards and one score, and also threw for 167 yards on 11 of 21 attempts. Henry Dupin made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Having lost for the first time this season, California fell to 7-1. As for De La Salle, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.

Everything came up roses for De La Salle against California in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 48-10 win. In that contest, the Spartans amassed a halftime lead of 35-3, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
