Soccer Recap: Whiteoak Takes a Loss

After flying high against Wellston last Tuesday, Whiteoak came back down to earth. The Wildcats lost 5-1 to the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs on Monday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Whiteoak were already down 3-0.

Whiteoak's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Lynchburg-Clay, their win bumped their record up to 8-3-1.

Looking ahead, Whiteoak will take on Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Whiteoak will be up against Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.27 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lynchburg-Clay, they will face off against Hillsboro at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
