Softball Recap: Highlands Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Highlands can now relate to. They lost 11-0 to the South San Antonio Bobcats on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 24 runs in the game before, the Owls' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Highlands saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jenesis Rodriguez, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Highlands' loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for South San Antonio, the victory (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 25-5.

While Highlands had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
