The Pennsauken Indians will head out to face off against the Eastern Vikings on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Last Thursday, Pennsauken made easy work of Vineland and carried off a 27-7 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Randall "Rj" Blount had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 233 yards and three touchdowns.

He was just one part of a punishing run game: Pennsauken was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 232 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.

Pennsauken wouldn't let Vineland keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Joseph Boyd was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance.

Meanwhile, the third road match was the charm for Eastern, as they earned their first road win of the season. They took their game on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 30-0 win over Cherry Hill West. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Lions are ranked 240th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pennsauken now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Eastern, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Things could have been worse for Pennsauken, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 40-21 loss to Eastern when the teams last played back in October of 2017. Thankfully for Pennsauken, Manny Azuonwu (who rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
