Softball Recap: Chartiers Valley Wins Going Away Against Montour

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Chartiers Valley and Montour had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Colts blew past the Spartans 17-2 on Friday. With that win, the Colts brought their scoring average up to 7.1 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Lily Duffill, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Kaitlyn Truong was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Chartiers Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Chartiers Valley's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Montour, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5-1.
