De Smet Jesuit came tearing into Saturday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 48-44 win over the Moline Maroons. The 48-point effort marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

De Smet Jesuit's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Moline, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-3.
