Basketball Recap: Freeman Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Freeman can now relate to. They took a 79-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wall Eagles on Saturday.

Despite the loss, Freeman still got an impressive performance from Tate Sorensen, who went 11-for-12 on his way to 27 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Sorensen a new career-high in shooting accuracy (92%). Another player making a difference was Oliver Waltner, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine boards.

Wall's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Teelan Kjerstad, who shot 59% from the field en route to 26 points. Emmet Dinger was another key player, going 10-for-20 to rack up 25 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Freeman's defeat dropped their record down to 20-6. As for Wall, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Freeman nor Wall have any future games scheduled.
