The Reedley Pirates are taking a road trip to square off against the Dos Palos Broncos at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Reedley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Reedley picked up another tournament win on Tuesday. They blew past Sanger West 8-2. That's two games straight that the Pirates have won by exactly six runs.

Rocky Garcia was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Alex Rodriguez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Dos Palos fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Atwater on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 3-1. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Broncos couldn't push the score so high this time.

Chaz Merrell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run.

The win made it two in a row for Reedley and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Dos Palos, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Reedley beat Dos Palos 8-3 in their previous matchup back in March of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Reedley since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
