Recap: Great Mills Hornets vs. Northeast Eagles
The Great Mills Hornets's game on Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Northeast 56-17 at home. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up ten more assists than your opponent, as Great Mills did.
Great Mills had a senior duo take command as Telisa Adams scored 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals and A'naija Bush scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Laila Murillo was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Great Mills' victory was their third straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1. As for Northeast, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Great Mills will challenge Chopticon at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northeast, they will head out on the road to face off against Indian Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Indian Creek comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
