Basketball Game Preview: Celina Bobcats vs. Decatur Eagles

The Celina Bobcats will take on the Decatur Eagles at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

It was a proper cat-fight when Celina challenged Melissa on Saturday. Celina lost to Melissa at home by a 71-56 margin. The defeat continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Decatur waltzed into their game on Saturday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 57-28 victory over Sunnyvale. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 21 points or more this season.

Decatur has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Celina, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7.
